Acuo Technologies Announces Integration and Certification of the IBM Grid Medical Archive Solution

Acuo Technologies announced the integration and
certification of IBM's Grid Medical Archive Solution (GMAS) as well as the
addition of IBM to Acuo's Elite Partner Program. By adding the Acuo
Technologies middleware software to the IBM GMAS solution, the medical imaging
industry has the ability to procure a strategy that enables the customer to
gain control of their data as well as manage it in a manner that provides
flexibility and lower the total cost of ownership.
The integration also adds IBM to Acuo's Elite Partner
Program, a select group of business partners certified to deliver Acuo
Technologies' intelligent medical image management product suite. Acuo
Technologies offers partners, OEM's, ISV's and customers, cutting-edge,
innovative, secure, open-system software solution for transporting, storing,
tracking and retrieving digital images a DICOM environment. The Elite Partner
Program provides access to a wealth of resources including marketing support,
professional services and consulting -- vital tools to help partners grow their
business. Fiscal Year 2007 was a successful year for Acuo's Elite Partners,
with sales growth exceeding 100 percent over prior years.
IBM has extensive experience assisting healthcare providers
overcome the challenges of delivering critical medical information in a
distributed environment. IBM is working to improve healthcare collaboration
among medical professionals through the use of grid computing and other open
source technologies, allowing healthcare entities to not only control their
data and storage, but to enact true Clinical Information Lifecycle Management
policies.
